Kemenpora Disburses IDR 290 Billion For Peparnas 2024

The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) disbursed Rp290 billion for the implementation of Peparnas 2024 (VOI/Cosmas Kopong Beda).

The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) officially disbursed Rp290 billion for the implementation of the 2024 National Paralympic Week (Peparnas).

The deposit of funds was approved by signing a cooperation (PKS) with PB Peparnas at the Kemenpora office, Jakarta, on Friday, September 27, 2024, afternoon WIB.

The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Dito Ariotedjo, said that the funds would later be managed by PB Peparnas under the supervision of the Governance Task Force (Satgas).

"The figure comes from the APBN, which is Rp. 275 billion used for the implementation and the remaining Rp. 14 billion for equipment," said Dito when giving information to the media crew.

Solo as the host of Peparnas 2024 is so ready and already has various venue facilities that it does not require funds for construction or renovation.

Dito also hopes that the 2024 Peparnas can run successfully with the assistance and monitoring of the Governance Task Force which was formed based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 24 of 2024.

"From the start, there has been assistance and monitoring. So, it is hoped that Peparnas 2024 will be successful in organizing, achieving, regional economy, and finally successful administration," he said.

Peparnas 2024 will be held on October 6-13, 2024 in Solo, Sukoharjo Regency, Boyolali Regency, and Karanganyar Regency.

A total of 20 sports will be competed in the event. A total of 3,049 athletes and 1,576 officials who will represent 34 contingents attended the event.

The opening ceremony of Peparnas 2024 in Solo will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Manahan Stadium, Solo. The closing will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the same location.
