2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification: Yemen Beat Timor Leste 3-1

Yaman U-20 managed to get three points in the first match of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification (doc. AFC).

JAKARTA - Yemen U-20 managed to reap sweet results in the inaugural match of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification. Facing Timor Leste U-20, they won 3-1 at the Madya Stadium, Senayan, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

At the start of the match, Timor Leste could put pressure first on the Yemen goal. Through Thiago Williams' left-footed shot, the ball hit Yaman's right post, then the ball that was bounced off and struck by Luis Figo, but still did not bear sweet fruit.

In the 23rd minute, Yemen poses a threat to the opponent's defense. Unfortunately, the pressure through Abel Abbas's feet was still countered by Pablo Macario.

Four minutes later, a deadlock broke for Yemen. In the 27th minute, Abdulaziz Awadh was able to score a goal against Timor Leste.

The 2-0 score belongs to Yemen which was again created by Abdulaziz Awadh through a header.

After that, Timor Leste did not remain silent and reduced the gap through Alexadro Bahkito Lemos' goal in the 69th minute.

The game between the two teams is getting more and more exciting because the sale and purchase of attacks occurred. Yemen managed to score the third goal, which was created by Abdullrahman Abdullah in the 74th minute.
