Menpora Praises Sports Arena At PON 2024 In North Sumatra

JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo praised a number of competition arenas at the XXI 2024 National Sports Week (PON) in North Sumatra (North Sumatra). Where, he considered that it would be better and ready to be used for various matches.

"Alhamdulillah, we have been traveling to the vaccines in North Sumatra today and we see how well the preparations are very good, although there are indeed some that have not been completed," Dito said quoting Antara.

According to him, the news that had gone viral on social media regarding the unpreparedness of the volleyball arena at the North Sumatra Sport Center should not have caused the same assessment of other arenas. He stressed that North Sumatra has a number of good, even beautiful arenas.

He gave an example of the good arena in North Sumatra, which is an athletic arena and e-sports.

"In athletics, I think it is not necessary to question, where it has become a certificate from World Athletics and also the e-sport arena," he said.

Next, Dito also praised the beach volleyball arena on Samosir Island. According to him, the arena became the location of a beautiful match.

"I heard that in North Sumatra the most beautiful was the beach volleyball arena in Samosir because it was a direct view to the lake," he said.

Dito then appreciated the Provincial Government and all the people of North Sumatra who had contributed to realizing good implementation of the 2024 PON. He then hopes that news about good arenas or other positive things can be massive.

"Reports like this, I think it should be shown to the public so that the public knows how big this Aceh-North PON is a very big event," he said.
