Aragon 2024 MotoGP Results: Marc Marquez Podium, Bagnaia Thrown

JAKARTA - Gresini Racing racer, Marc Marquez managed to reach the podium at the 2024 Aragon MotoGP after almost 3 years of fasting. Marc Marquez won the title after defeating Jorge Martin on Sunday, September 1.

Marc Marquez started the race at the Aragon Circuit, Spain with a perfect start from pole position. The Gresini racer successfully took the lead over Pedrodeca in the first corner.

Francesco Bagnaia, who started from third, had problems when he started with a slip tire until he dropped to seventh.

Marc Marquez had a favorable moment on the second lap, Askosta and Jorge Martin collided around the eighth corner while fighting for the second position, causing Marquez to push up.

Bagnaia, who is lagging behind Martin at the top of the standings, encounters difficulties in passing Alex Marquez in third.

On lap 18 the disaster occurred when Bagnaia and Alex Marquez collided and crashed at Turn 12. It all started when Alex was a little too fast into bend 11, Bagnaia then took advantage of the moment by trying to overtake from the outside.

Alex, who tried to maintain his position, then hit Bagnaia's right back. Alex and Bagnaia's motorcycle then seemed to be stuck, both of them fell.

Bagnaia managed to stand up and walk alone after the accident, but the reigning MotoGP champion was taken to the medical room for examination.

Marquez finally won in the 2024 Aragon MotoGP by defeating Jorge Martin and Pedrodeca. This is Marquez's first win since winning MotoGP Emilia Romagna 2011.
