Barcelona Beat Valladolid 7-0, Raphinha: Target To Score More Goals

JAKARTA - Barcelona scored their biggest win of the season when they slaughtered Real Valladolid 7-0 in the La Liga Spain match at the Olimpic Lluis Companys Stadium, Saturday, August 31, 2024 evening WIB. The front player Raphinha said the team was targeting to score more goals in each match.

Barca took the perfect point when they confirmed their position at the top of the standings. Not only that, Barca released Ilkay Gundogan, Clement Lenglet and a number of academy players and loaned Vitor Roque to Real Betis for their biggest win of the season in the fourth match.

The brilliant result while playing at home made Barca immovable. Now, the Blaugrana have a 12 point. A four-point lead with Atletico Marid who won 1-0 over Athletic Bilbao.

Meanwhile, Valladolid, who has only won once, is stuck at the bottom. After a 0-0 draw against Leganes, they must recognize Barca's superiority. Now, Valladolid is ranked 13th with four points.

In that match, Raphinha showed his best performance by scoring a hat trick. The Brazilian national team winger opened Barca's victory party in the 20th minute. Furthermore, Hansi Flick's team did not stop breaking into the opponent's goal.

"The results of this match show that we don't really need any players. We are happy with this victory," said Raphinha.

"We are in the best condition and the team has worked hard. This result shows how hard we have worked. When we were ahead, we saw the coach on the sidelines still asking us to score more goals. That's our mentality," he said.

"We are hungry for goals and wins. We want to score a lot of goals in every game. As we dominate, that's what we will do. The best thing when respecting the opponent is of course step on the gas," said the former Leeds United player again.

Raphinha opened Barca's victory and just four minutes later, striker Robert Lewandowski increased the team's advantage. Both goals were created through the same scheme, namely a counter-attack.

Furthermore, Defender Jules Kunde changed the score to 3-0 when he used the rebound after Lewandowski hit the post in first-half injury time. The three-goal lead lasted until halftime.

In the second half, Barca did not lower the tempo of the game. Raphinha scored his second goal which put Barca 4-0 up in the 64th minute.

He became increasingly unstoppable. After two shots that hit the post and wasted opportunities from close range, Raphinha finally scored a hat trick in the 72nd minute. The 27-year-old completes the assist from Lamine Yamal.

New player Dani Olmo also contributed goals. He listed a name on the scoreboard which put Barca 6-0 up in the 82nd minute. Furthermore, Ferran Torres solidified Barca's victory to 7-0. The seven-goal score lasted until the end of the match.
