Quiet Perbasi Caketum Exchange, Smooth The Way To Distribute Cakes?

JAKARTA The Central Board of the Indonesian Basketball Association (PP Perbasi) will hold a National Conference (Munas) on October 28-30, 2024 in Jakarta.

One of the National Conference agendas is the election of the General Chairperson of Perbasi for the period 2024-2028.

The registration form for the prospective chairman of Perbasi has also been opened since Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

However, until Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the Penjaringan Team can only mention one name that has taken the registration form for the general chairman candidate.

The big names that are predicted by the Indonesian basketball public have not even taken a form. In fact, the deadline for taking the form is only until August 23, 2024.

Candidates for Indonesian basketball lovers include Azrul Ananda (CEO DBL), Christopher Tanuwidjaja (Women's Basketball National Team Manager), Eda Bakrie (Chairman of BTN), Augie Fantinus (former Manager of the Basketball Women National Team), Junas Miradiarsyah (Managing Director of IBL), pando Hakim (Ketum Perbasi DKI Jakarta), to Danny Kosasih (Ketum PP Perbasi 2020-2024). However, they have not taken any form either directly or online.

"Many names, but they have taken them or not, I don't know. If you look at them, they are confused too," said Setia Dharma Madjid, Head of the Penjaringan Team.

Meanwhile, the only name in question for taking the form is Budisatrio Djiwandono. This was confirmed by Dharma.

Budisatrio is reported to have taken the form online and plans to come directly to the PP Perbasi office on Friday, August 23, 2024.

"I know that Mr. Budisatrio Djiwandono's team is new. It didn't come directly and I just heard the information," said Dharma when contacted by VOI.id.

"I heard from Budi's new friends who stated that they had downloaded the form," he said again.

The silence of the Perbasi caketum exchange raises speculation that there is a way to smooth the steps of only one candidate.

This is reinforced by the background of Budisatrio Djiwandono, who is a politician from the Gerindra Party.

Budi is also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives in the 2017-2019 and 2019-2014 periods.

Although the 42-year-old man served as Secretary-General (2016-2019) and General Treasurer of PP Perbasi (2015-2016), the suspicion of distributing cakes remains sticking out.

Moreover, Budisatrio is the nephew of the elected President, Prabowo Subianto.

Apart from that, the registration form return has a month's deadline, from August 23 to September 23, 2024. Then, the verification stage will be held on September 23-25, 2024.

Currently PP Perbasi is led by General Chair Danny Kosasih. He has led the Indonesian basketball federation for two terms.

Danny actually made sure that he would not run for ketum nomination for the next period. However, the public still considers himself worthy considering a number of achievements during his leadership.

Judging from the Perbasi AD/ART PP, there are actually no complicated conditions in running for chairman.

Registrants are only asked to include written support from 15 Perbasi Provincial Management (Pengprov), integrity pact, evidence that they have never been sentenced or involved in legal matters, a statement of commitment, and submit Rp500 million as a form of commitment.
