2024 Olympics Results: Fajar/Rian Lift Their Suitcase After First Seed Bend

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles pair, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, lifted the suitcase from the quarter-finals of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The former world number one lost two straight games 22-24 and 20-22 against the first seed from China, Liang Wei Sekok/Wang Chang, at the Adidas Arena, Thursday, August 1, 2024, evening WIB.

Fajar/Rian are Indonesia's fifth representative of badminton who were eliminated in Paris 2024. This result made the Red-White hope to get a medal from badminton very narrow.

Indonesia now just has to hope for the women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung as the only remaining representative of the six badminton representatives who left for France.

The 2017 junior world champion will only play early in the morning at 00.30 WIB. He fought South Korean representative Kim Ga-eun in the round of 16.
