Indonesian Badminton Team Enters The 2024 Olympic Athletes Village

The Indonesian badminton team entered the 2024 Paris Olympic Athlete Village (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA The Indonesian badminton team officially entered the Athlete Village or Athletes Village at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Jonathan Christie and his friends first held a practice at the Porte De La Chapelle Arena venue or Adidas Arena before arriving at the Athlete Village on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, WIB night.

Entering the athlete village automatically made Jonathan and his friends part with their support team from the PBSI National Training Center who flew to Paris for a match.

"Slightly sad because we had to separate from the support team who had accompanied us for about nine days at the training camp. Every day we train together, gather together, and eat together," said Jonathan.

"However, this is a real match. So, hopefully when you enter the Athlete Village, you will feel very positive," he said again.

Entering Athletes Village is Jonathan's second experience because he has previously appeared at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which has been postponed for a year due to the corona pandemic.

Jonathan said that entering the Athlete Village provides a separate experience. One of them can interact with well-known athletes from other countries.

"When I was in Tokyo, I met Novak Djokovic and famous football players too. That's something we wouldn't have found if we weren't there," said the 2024 All England champion.

The 2024 Paris Olympics will officially open on Friday, July 26, 2024, local time. The badminton branch also fought the day after.
