With a positive response, Jokowi also hopes that in the future the President's Cup tournament can become a routine agenda in the Indonesian football calendar.

"If there is sustainability, it will be better," he said.

The 2024 President's Cup is the sixth edition since it was first held in 2015. At the beginning of the event, Persib Bandung won the status.

Meanwhile, the 2024 President's Cup involved eight participants in Liga 1 2024/2025, namely Persib Bandung, PSM Makassar, Borneo FC, Persis Solo, Persija Jakarta, Arema FC, Bali United, and Madura United.

The eight teams were divided into two groups. Group A plays at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, and Group B competes at Stadium I Wayan Dipta, Gianyar, Bali.

The 2024 President's Cup will take place from July 19 to August 4, 2024. Then, the semifinals and finals will shift to Manahan Stadium, Solo, and compete for prizes of IDR 5 billion.
