U-19 Philippine Coach Puji Arkhan Kaka Ahead Of The Duel Vs Indonesia U-19

JAKARTA - The Philippines U-19 will face Indonesia U-19 in the inaugural match of Group A of the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup. Ahead of the meeting on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, WIB night, Josep Ferre as the coach of The Azkals actually praised one of the Garuda Muda players.

Josep Ferre highlighted Arkhan Kaka's performance. Ferre even admitted that he was happy to be back in touch with Kaka.

The two of them did work together last season. At that time Ferre became assistant coach of Persis Solo, Leonardo Medina, in Liga 1 season 2023/2024.

"Yes, of course I am happy to meet Arkan Kaka again since I met him at Persis Solo with Ramadan Sananta," Ferre said in a press conference before the match quoted on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Reflecting on the togetherness he had gone through, Josep Ferre considered that Kaka had taken a big step. He was even impressed by the development of the young Persis Solo striker.

"He is a very important player for Persis Solo last season. He deserves to play most of the games because of his quality. He really encouraged the team to move forward," he said.

Furthermore, Ferre also did not hesitate to say that Kaka was a striker with complete attributes. He believes the 16-year-old player could be an Indonesian player in the future.

"He is a striker who can win an aerial duel, he can control the ball. I mean, he is a very complete player. He is a striker who I think can be one of the players of the future of the Indonesian national team," he said.

Ferre also hopes that Arkhan Kaka will start in the first match of Indonesia U-19 vs Philippines U-19. He also wishes Kaka the best in the future.

"I will miss him because he is a good person, works hard, is very respectful, and always tries his best. I wish him all the best who will start in the match," he said.

The 2024 AFF U-19 Cup will take place at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, on 17-29 July 2024. At this event, Indonesia as the host was in Group A along with the Philippines, Cambodia, and Timor Leste.
