Final Championship Series 2023/2024: Persib Bandung Vs Madura United

Persib Bandung stepped into the final of the 2023/2024 League 1 Championship Series (doc. Persib).

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung and Madura United have been confirmed to step into the final match of the 2023/2024 League 1 Championship Series. Madura United secured a place in the final after defeating Borneo FC 3-2 in the second leg at Batakan Stadium, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Sunday, May 19, 2024.

In that match, Borneo won twice through Alfharezzi Buffon and Felipe Cadenazzi. However, after that Alfhareini's goal was equalized by Dalberto Belo, while Cadenazzi's goal was matched by Malik Risaldi.

Not enough to equalize Borneo FC's acquisition, Madura United is again looking for a gap. Again, Malik Risaldi contributed Madura United's third goal and became the determinant of the visitors' victory.

Madura United strolled into the top match 4-2 after previously winning 1-0 at home. Sape Kepap laskar will face Persib Bandung in the top party.

Maung Bandung had already secured a ticket to the final after defeating Bali United.

Bojan Hodak's team won 4-1 on aggregate. They drew 1-1 at home to Bali United and won 3-0 at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium.

Persib will host first in the first leg. Madura United only got a turn to host Bojan Hodak's foster children in the second leg.

Meanwhile, Borneo FC and Bali United will also undergo a third place match on May 25 and May 30, 2024.

Bali United will host in the first leg, then Borneo FC.
