2025 Gymnastics World Championship Held At Indonesia Arena

JAKARTA The 53rd edition of the World Gymnastics World Championship 2025 World Gymnastics 2025 will be held at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.

This assurance was expressed by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (Persani), Ita Yuliati, at the Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

"We plan to hold it at the Indonesia Arena and its training hall at the JCC (Jakarta Convention Center) A-B," Ita said in a press conference after a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo.

The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) previously in an email on Friday, May 3, 2024, confirmed that Indonesia will host 53rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championship 2025.

The event will take place on 19-25 October 2025. In total there are more than 500 athletes from more than 70 countries who will be contestants for this most prestigious gymnastics event.

Ita said that her party would immediately move quickly to form a local committee and plan with related parties so that the event entrusted to Indonesia could run smoothly.

"This is an extraordinary opportunity for us. We really hope that the support of the government and stakeholders will all be a trigger for Indonesia's future national game achievements," he said.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Youth and Sports said the confidence of this international gymnastics federation would be a good opportunity to popularize gymnastics in Indonesia.

"Gymnastic is one of the mothers of sports that I believe is a sport that must be strengthened and focused. Physical sports are one of the most prestigious sports in the Olympics and the world," he said.
