JAKARTA - Liverpool have received a positive injection following manager Jurgen Klopp's confirmation that Alisson Becker and Fabinho are ready to return to the squad for the Premier League match against Chelsea on Thursday local time.

Alisson previously missed the match against Sheffield United last weekend, after being given time following the sad news of his father's departure.

Meanwhile, Fabinho has missed four Liverpool matches due to a muscle injury problem.

"Ali has been training for a full week and yes, we think he will come back," Klopp said as quoted by Antara from Liverpool's official website on Wednesday.

"Fab has had five or six sessions recovering from his injury and we have to take further decisions about that, but he is quite fit and ready to be in the squad tomorrow," he added.

Meanwhile, for Diogo Jota, Klopp is still unable to confirm whether his condition is fit enough to be involved in the match against Chelsea.

Jota returned to training last week after being sidelined for more than two months due to injury, but was not included in the squad against Sheffield due to a non-injury.

"Diogo is having a bit of a stomachache problem and yesterday practiced a little bit, just warming up and running," said Klopp.

"This morning I got the news that he is getting better again, we'll see what can be done. As I said, he was fine before, but was sick overnight, now we will look for the right steps to get him back into the team," concluded Klopp.

Liverpool are currently ranked sixth with a collection of 43 points, if they can reverse their fortune of four consecutive defeats at home, the Reds have a chance to return to the top four of the standings.
