JAKARTA The Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) hopes that Pelita Jaya Jakarta and Prawira Harum Bandung can pass through the qualifying round and make history of qualifying for the 2024 Basketball Champions League Asia (BCL Asia).

Prawira Harum Bandung and Pelita Jaya Jakarta were chosen to represent Indonesia because they are the 2023 IBL winners and runners-up.

To pass the qualifying round, Prawira Harum Bandung joined Group A with representatives from Malaysia (NS Matrix Deals), Hong Kong (Hong Kong Eastern), and runners-up in Mongolian competitions.
Meanwhile, Pelita Jaya will compete in Group B against representatives of Thailand (Hi-Tech Basketball Club), champions of the Mongolian competition, and Singapore (Adroid Club).

In the first qualifying round in Mongolia, each team will play three matches. Group A and B's first place will automatically qualify for the second qualifying round in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, second and third place in each group will meet again cross-legged to compete for tickets to the second qualifying round in Jakarta.
