Facing Borneo FC, Thomas Doll Is Optimistic That Persija Jakarta Will Get Perfect Points

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta will undergo the 24th week of Liga 1 2023/2024 by facing Borneo FC. The match will be held at Batakan Stadium on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Thomas Doll as the coach of the Kemayoran Tigers is sure that his team will look good.

This was revealed by Thomas Doll because he saw how his team showed developments during the training session a month ago before the competition rolled back.

"Of course I am very happy, the league competition has rolled back after a long holiday," said Thomas Doll during a press conference session before the match on Monday, February 5, 2024.

"We have made good preparations. The players are working hard and very concentrated. We also did a good training session. We can also see the development of the players over the past week," he said.

"No one knows exactly their performance this week because the last match in the league occurred in mid-December 2023. Each team started to rise and I hope we can bring quality to the field," he said again.

In Week 24 the Borneo FC situation was clearly seeded considering that they are currently at the top of the standings with 51 points. However, Thomas Doll did not feel it was a threat and instead saw it as a big challenge for his players.

"It was a difficult match for us. A good challenge for us too and my feelings are of course the players are ready," he said.

Victory is a fixed price for the Kemayoran Tigers when they visit Borneo FC headquarters. The reason is, currently Persija need an additional three points to boost their position in the standings.

So far, Persija is ranked ninth in the standings with a collection of 32 points or eight points adrift of Bali United who are ranked fourth as the safe limit for the Championship Series zone team.
