The results of the 2023/2024 Liga 2 semifinal draw (VOI/Ulfa Gusti).

JAKARTA - The 2023/2024 Liga 2 competition has entered the semifinals. Four teams managed to secure tickets to fight for a place to the final round for promotional dreams to League 1.

The four teams that managed to qualify for the 2023/2024 League semifinals were North Maluku United FC, Semen Padang, PSBS, and Persiraja.

Semen Padang, who came out as the winner of Group X, managed to lock up the place in the semifinals after overthrowing PSPS Riau with a score of 2-1 in the last match. In Group Y, Malut United FC appeared strong by defeating PSIM Yogyakarta 3-2.

PSBS Biak confirmed itself as the winner of Group Z after playing the 1-1 series against Persipura Jayapura. Meanwhile, Persiraja Banda Aceh qualified for the semifinals as the best second-placed team by collecting seven points from six matches.

Later the second winner of the semifinal match will qualify for the final and automatically promote to League 1. The two teams that lost in the semifinals will compete in third place to compete for the last ticket for promotion to League 1.

Before navigating the semifinals, the four teams went through a draw process to determine the opponents they faced in a two-legged format. The first leg of the semifinals will be held on February 25, 2024 and the second leg semifinal will be held on February 29, 2024.

PSSI itself appreciates the League 2 performance which has almost reached its peak this season. PSSI Executive Committee member, Endri Erawan, assessed that the tournament played an important role in helping develop the quality of Indonesian football.

"On behalf of PSSI, we congratulate the four clubs that managed to qualify for the semifinals. Congratulations also to the President Director of PT LIB and staff who have held a tournament very well," he said at the Liga 2 semifinal drawing event at SCTV Tower, Senayan, Monday, February 5, 2024, evening WIB.

"Hopefully this tournament can help the development of Indonesian football because currently PSSI is really serious about improving Indonesian football. Alhamdulillah, everything is getting better, whether it's League 1, Liga 2, and the national team," he said.
