Ends The Series Of Defeats, Fiorentina Defeats Spezia 3-0

JAKARTA - Fiorentina ended two successive defeats in the Italian League, after beating Spezia's guests 3-0, in a match played at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, Florence, Saturday morning, Western Indonesia Time.

Three points lead Fiorentina up to 12th with 25 points, while Spezia fell to 15th with 24 points.

All of La Viola's victorious goals were only created in the second half. Quoting Antara, Dusan Vlahovic broke the deadlock thanks to a goal in the 48th minute, before Gaetano Castrovilli scored a second in the 64th, and a goal by Valentin Eysseric completed their victory in the 82nd minute.

Spezia striker Kevin Agudelo had the first chance when he could only snatch wide of Luca Vignali's ball. But Riccardo Marchizza had to be pulled off the pitch in the opening minutes after bumping his head against Christian Kouame.

Cristiano Biraghi has two chances, first through a shot which Luca Vignali can hold and the bouncing ball also fails to be maximized. On the other side of the field, Lucas Martinez made an important tackle to thwart Nahuel Estevez's move.

Fiorentina was only able to break the deadlock in the second half with the help of VAR. Initially, their goal was not scored, but VAR confirmed Castrovilli kept the ball alive before passing it to Vlahovic to drive into an empty net.

After becoming an assist provider, Castrovilli then served as a goal scorer. Valentin Eysseric failed to close his team's movement due to a tackle by Julian Chabot, but the ball was then aimed at Castrovilli and then struck against the visitor team's goal.

Fiorentina's third goal came from a counterattack. Castrovilli took advantage of a mistake by Estevez, Vlahovic pulled the defenders towards him, so the ball could be passed to Eysseric to be thrown into the opponent's goal.

In the next match Fiorentina will travel to Udinese headquarters on Sunday, February 28, and Spezia host bottom team Parma the day before.
