Bruno Fernandes Print Brace When MU Beat Sociedad 4-0

JAKARTA - Bruno Fernandes contributed a brace when Manchester United destroyed Real Sociedad 4-0 in the first leg of the Europa League last 32 which took place at the Allianz Arena Stadium, Turin, Friday morning.

Launched Antara, Fernandes' two goals were complemented by two additional goals recorded by Marcus Rashford and Daniel James.

With this victory Manchester United have set one foot into the last 16 and the second leg match on February 26 will take place at Old Trafford Stadium.

The game took place at a high tempo, the two teams alternately demonstrated open play with fast balls.

Winning 2-0 makes MU more comfortable in controlling the ball.

They even returned to widen the 3-0 lead in the 64th minute through Rashford's goal which was created thanks to Fred's through-through pass,

Although Sociedad continues to lock up the MU defense, they are very difficult to create open opportunities to face the strong defense of the Red Devils.

On the other hand, MU created more dangerous opportunities through a fast counter-attack scheme which almost made Solskjaer's team further away, unfortunately Greenwood's shot was still blocked by the Sociedad goalkeeper.

Sociedad never seems to learn from the mistakes that led to three goals for MU excellence. They still left an empty gap when the opponent counterattacked until MU's fourth goal was created by Daniel James at the end of the match.

With a difference of four goals, Sociedad will follow a steep path in the second leg which will be held at MU headquarters if they want to qualify for the next round.
