Gauff And David Beckham Tennis Players Enter List Of The 25 Most Interesting People In 2023

JAKARTA The United States and defending champion of the US Open, Coco Gauff, is included in the list of 25 Most Interesting People in 2023 according to People Magazine.

The 19-year-old athlete is one of two athletes on the list. He is side by side with England's soccer star David Beckham.

Gauff won his first Grand Slam career at the US Open after beating Aryna Sabalenka in the final. It was his second chance after previously becoming a finalist at the 2022 Roland Garros.

"This turned out to be the year when the former world number one dominated the US Open 2023 and became the youngest champion from the United States since Serena Williams in 1999," People wrote.

In this list, Gauff and Beckham are side by side with a number of other celebrities. Among them are top singers Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

In an upload on Instagram, he wrote a feeling of joy while trying to be humble among the top names.

"It's nice to know People find me interesting. Actually I don't. However, I appreciate his praise. It's pretty cool being on this list of really interesting people," he said.

Before winning the US Open 2023, Gauff's furthest trip at this year's Grand Slam was the fourth round at the Australian Open. At that time he lost to Jelena Ostapenko.
