Becoming A Victim Of Aston Villa, Arsenal Failed To Lower Liverpool

JAKARTA - Arsenal became Aston Villa's next victim. The 1-0 defeat to Villa in the English Premier League match at Villa Park Stadium, Sunday, December 10 in the morning, made Arsenal fail to remove Liverpool from the standings.

Liverpool seized control of the Premier League after a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Arsenal's chances of taking over aren't really easy as they visit Villa's headquarters which has an impressive winning record.

Even Manchester City did not move when playing at Villa Park. In that match, Man City had to admit the advantage of the hosts 1-0.

Likewise, Arsenal are powerless against The Villans. John McGinn's goal in the early minutes made the Gunners lose too with a score of one goal.

The result made Arsenal fail to meet the target of shifting Liverpool. Arsenal, who are ranked second, still have points 36. One point adrift of Liverpool who are at the top.

Meanwhile, Villa, who won their 15th victory at home, are now one of their competitors. Villa confirmed their position in third place with 35 points.

Meanwhile, Man City, who is in fourth position, is increasingly lagging behind the top of the standings because they still have 30 points.

Manager Mikel Arteta admits he is disappointed with Arsenal's defeat. However, he admitted that the Gunners had difficulty scoring goals to win the game.

"If we want to win, we have to score goals. This is what we cannot do even though we created many chances. Unfortunately we lost this match," said Arteta.

"In my opinion, we are still the best and do not deserve to lose. But this is football," he said again.
