JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) will deploy 13,251 personnel to secure the Indonesian U-17 World Cup which starts on November 10, 2023.

Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police Public Relations Division Brigadier General Pol. Ahmad Ramadhan in Jakarta, Saturday, said the National Police had prepared personnel to secure the U - 17. World Cup.

"The security number involves 13,251 personnel consisting of 415 personnel from the National Police Headquarters and 12,836 personnel from the four Regional Police," said Ramadhan.

The one-star police general explained that the four Polda involved were Polda Metro Jaya, Polda West Java, Polda East Java and Polda Central Java.

He said that before the U-17 World Cup was held, the National Police held Simultaneous Troop Titles at the four Regional Police on November 9.

"The deployment of troops is centered in Surabaya," said Ramadhan.

Separately, the East Java Regional Police trained 350 special personnel to become service officers or stewards who would be placed outside the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya, East Java, during the U-17 World Cup starting November 10, 2023.
