JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team underwent a training camp in Jakarta after forging themselves in Germany. The players felt quite drastic weather changes.

U-17 Indonesian national team diaspora player Welber Jardim admits that it is difficult to adapt to the weather in Jakarta which is much different from his home country, Brazil.

"(Adaptation) weather is difficult a little. In Brazil, it's not like this (weather)," said Welber Jardim after training with the U-17 national team at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, on Monday, October 30.

A much different weather situation made Jardim have to train harder. It was done so that he did not feel tired easily due to the very hot cuca.

"I have to train hard to adapt to the (hot) weather so I don't get tired easily", Welber Jardim.

Apart from Welfer Jardim, another diaspora player who is confirmed to be in the U-17 national team squad is Amar Reyhan Brick. The Sao Paulo defender has also joined since last October when the national team carried out TC in Germany.

Although for Welber Jardim adapting to the weather in Indonesia is quite difficult, the Banjarmasin-born player admits that adaptation to the players is running smoothly. He admitted that he had chemistry and was close to all the players in the team as a unit.

"Preparation for the U-17 World Cup, we practice hard so we can play well. You have seen, we practice fun, there are jokes. In addition, we still have a moment to focus too," he said.

"There is no (special closeness) here are all group friends. We joke all, nothing close to one by one because we are all in the same group," continued Welber.

Welber and other Indonesian U-17 national team squads will start their struggle at the U-17 World Cup on Friday, November 10. Garuda Nusantara will face Ecuador in the group A opening party at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya.

The biennial event will take place from November 10 to December 2, 2023 in Jakarta, Bandung, Solo, and Surabaya.
