League Results 1: Draw With PSM, RANS Throws Opportunities To Rise To Second Position

JAKARTA - RANS Nusantara wasted a golden opportunity up to second place in the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 standings when hosting PSM Makassar.

This was after they only drew 1-1 against the visitors in the 17th week of Indonesia's highest caste at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Monday, October 30, 2023 evening WIB.

In this match, RANS scored first. They opened the scoring over the visitors in the 53rd minute through Abdul Rahman's header maximizing Mackho Meraudje's measured pass.

PSM was lucky to survive the defeat thanks to a goal in the last minute of normal time. The hero of the team was Kenzo Nambu who scored a beautiful goal from outside the penalty box.

Bringing home just one point makes RANS stay in the last four positions in the standings with a collection of 30 points from 17 matches that have been played.

In fact, if they win their position, they go up to second place in the standings, shifting Persib Bandung and Madura United successively to third and fourth place.

The two teams are currently filling second and third place with a collection of 31 points, only one point ahead of RANS. Meanwhile, Borneo FC has occupied the top of the half of the season with 35 points so far.

On the other hand, this draw made PSM Makassar stay in 12th position in the standings. They collected 22 points, the result of six wins, four draws, and seven defeats.
