JAKARTA - Juventus plans to offer a new contract extension for the flagship striker, Dusan Vlahovic. Even though last summer the Serbian striker was widely reported to be leaving Turin.

La Gazzetta dello Sport was quoted as saying on Monday, September 11, reports that Juventus will offer an additional one year duration in Vlahovic's new contract. The former Fiorentina will be tied to June 2027 and receive an increase in salaries.

Vlahovic is currently paid seven million euros per season. As for the new contract plan, the Old Lady dared to raise her salary of up to 10 million euros.

That amount also has the potential to increase to 12.5 million euros in the last year of his contract.

Despite getting an increase in salary, the allocation fee for reducing Vlahovic's value could be reduced if the player wanted to extend his contract. This will greatly help Juventus to manage finances in the midst of an unstable financial condition after the pandemic.

Vlahovic is said to have not rejected the offer and has the opportunity to meet with Juventus management in October to negotiate further.

Vlahovic, who was brought in from Fiorentina in 2022, is currently looking happy in Turin. Moreover, this season Vlahovic has scored two goals and one assist from three appearances in Serie A.

He has also always started and duet with Federico Chiesa on the front lines.

Before the intention to renew this contract emerged, Juventus had wanted to release Vlahovic. The Bianconeri intends to permanently release him so he can recruit Romelu Lukaku who is considered more suitable to meet Bianconeri's short-term targets.

However, until the transfer window was closed, the agreement had not been realized.
