FIFA Matchday Preparation, Indonesian National Team Has Arrived In Surabaya And Starts Training

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team players began arriving in Surabaya, East Java on Monday, September 4. The presence of the Garuda Squad is in preparation ahead of the FIFA Matchday agenda against Turkmenistan at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Thursday, September 8.

Through his Instagram account, PSSI shared a short video showing which players had arrived in Surabaya and immediately joined the hotel. Positive energy and enthusiasm can be seen from the faces of the players who are already present.

In an upload on Monday, September 4 afternoon WIB, a number of Indonesian national team star players such as Marc Klok, Nadeo Argawinata, Dimas Drajad, Fachruddin Aryanto, Egy Maulana Vikri, arrived at the hotel.

For abroad players, it is known that they are still on their way to the country. This is known from the upload of naturalized players, Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh who shared their moments on the plane to Indonesia.

Players playing abroad, Asnawi Mangkualam and Marselino Ferdinand, also uploaded photos of them heading to Indonesia.

Before gathering players in Surabaya, PSSI officially released a list of 24 Indonesian national team players to conduct training camps (TC) starting September 4 before fighting Turkmenistan on FIFA Matchday.

In addition to the players who have become subscribers called by Shin Tae-Yong, there are players who have received their debut calls from the Indonesian national team. They are Wahyu Prasetyo (PSIS Semarang), Ryan Kurnia (Persib Bandung), and Aji Kusuma (Persija Jakarta).

Persib Bandung is the club that contributes the most players to the September 2023 edition of the Indonesian national team's call list. Maung Bandung sent four players on this occasion.
