Persija Vs Madura United Without Andritany, It's Time For Cahya Supriadi To Prove Yourself

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta underwent an away match to Madura United headquarters in the 8th week of Liga 1 2023/2024 without the mainstay goalkeeper, Andritany Ardhiyasa. The match will be an opportunity to prove itself for the young goalkeeper, Cahya Supriadi.

For the match at the Gelora Bangkalan Stadium, Madura, Sunday, August 13 tonight, Andritany will not appear because of the ban on playing. The reason is that the Disciplinary Commission (Komdis) assessed that Andritany Ardhiyasa carried out an additional movement to kick the opposing player and escaped the attention of the match equipment in the match vs Borneo FC 9 August.

Based on the Decree of the Disciplinary Commission (Komdis) No.053/L1/SK/KD-PSSI/VIII/2023, what Andritany did resulted in a ban on playing one match accompanied by a fine of Rp. 10 million.

To fill the vacant position of the captain, Persija have appointed their young player, Cahya Supriadi to play his role as goalkeeper.

Having this opportunity, the young goalkeeper labeled the U-19 Indonesian national team expressed his readiness to guard the Persija goal.

"God willing, I am ready to play. I want to take this opportunity by giving the best for the team," said Cahya, quoted from Persija's website.

Meanwhile, Persija coach Thomas Doll was actually not satisfied with the decision that made Andritany have to miss one match. Even so, he also saw the positive side of it.

Cahya, who has just had one appearance in Liga 1, will have the opportunity and be trusted again to be able to fill the goalkeeper position. The 20-year-old debuted in the last match of Liga 1 last season during Persija against PSS Sleman, in the 84th minute.

"I am not satisfied with this decision (Andritany's punishment) because if you look back there are several actions that can get Borneo FC players sanctioned," said Doll.

"This is my opinion, but giving Andritany sanctions is a little too much," continued the concoctor.

Even though he was disappointed, Doll still entrusted his team's crossbar guard to Cahya Supriadi, who he said also had the ability to be no less slick.

"Indeed, Persija lost team captain (Andritany), but we have another good goalkeeper, namely Cahya (Supriadi),"

"I really believe in Cahya's abilities. He always trains well and already has a lot of experience with the young national team," he asserted.
