JAKARTA - Liverpool have strengthened their injury-hit back line by signing center-back Ben Davies from Championship side, Premier League second tier, Preston North End on Monday.
British media have reported that the Premier League champions will pay Preston around two million pounds for the 25-year-old, who arrives at Anfield on a long-term contract.
"The opportunity that is in front of me is incredible. I'd be silly to not make the most of it and learn off the players." 💪🎥 The first exclusive interview with @ BenDavies1108 is now available to watch on @LFCTV GO ...

"This is a big opportunity. Obviously it was a bit of a surprise when it was first reported, but once you start thinking about it, the opportunities that are in front of me are incredible," Davies said in a statement on Liverpool's official website.
"It would be my loss not to make the most of it and learn from the players (at the club).
"I've never been to Anfield and I haven't looked around. I've had a glimpse of and seen the pitch and it looks like a carpet, which you obviously expect."
Liverpool are currently without center-backs Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez who were plagued by long-term injuries and received another blow when Joel Matip was forced off with ankle ligament injuries in their 3-1 league win at Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Jürgen Klopp has confirmed Joel Matip is set to miss the remainder of the 2020/21 season due to an ankle ligament injury.

Manager Jurgen Klopp will have to play midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson in defense this season, as well as relying on young players to fill gaps at the back.
Liverpool fielded Henderson and 23-year-old Nathaniel Phillips as their center-back partners in Sunday's 3-1 win at West Ham United that lifted them to third place in the standings.
