PSG Will 'Affine' Kylian Mbappe In The Aftermath Of Polemics On Contract Extension

JAKARTA Kylian Mbappe is rumored to be barred from training with the first team of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after disputes over his contract with the club continued.

The PA news agency reported that PSG returned to training headquarters on Monday after undergoing a tour of Japan and South Korea. However, Mbappe did not train with the first team because the above problems were still protracted.

Sources at PSG remain confident that the player, who will expire his contract next summer, has approved a free transfer agreement with Real Madrid next summer.

Therefore, Mbappe decided to turn down an offer from the club to sign a new contract containing a sales clause. Klausul allowed him to join other clubs at certain costs next summer.

Meanwhile, from PSG's point of view, there is no reason why Mbappe rejected the offer. The reason is, the new contract will give him the opportunity to leave whenever he wants and join the club he wants.

Previously, PSG reportedly gave Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal permission to talk to the player after they made an offer that broke a world record of 259 million last month.

However, Mbappe reportedly refused to meet with a delegation from the Saudi Arabian club who had flown to Paris.

Chelsea and Barcelona are two other names who have also tried to get a player plus cash deal for Mbappe. However, the former AS Monaco player does not seem interested in anchoring to Camp Nou or Stamford Bridge.

PSG will start their Ligue 1 2023/2024 season at home to Lorient on Saturday. Mbappe is said to not be playing in the game after he was banned from attending the main squad's training.
