YOGYAKARTA Indonesia is hosting a prestigious world football event, the 2023 U-17 World Cup. In the context of this activity, PSSI proposed several stadiums for the U-17 World Cup Veneu candidate. This was revealed by PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir.

The stadium owned by Indonesia and proposed as the venue for the U-17 World Cup in 2023 is spread across several regions, namely as follows.

Although it has been submitted, Erick Thohir said that PSSI does not have the authority to determine which stadiums will be used. This authority is fully owned by FIFA as a world football federation. FIFA will also conduct inspections to Indonesia to check and seek considerations in determining its decision.

"FIFA will come to Indonesia, which is still waiting for the answer to return to the proposed field selection. We prioritize field passes for the previous championship (U-20 World Cup)," explained PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir at the Kemenpora Building, Central Jakarta, Friday, July 7.

In addition, PSSI also cannot confirm when FIFA will make its visit to Indonesia. However, preparations must be made considering that the prestigious U-17 World Cup event will start on November 10, 2023.
