Acting Minister Of Youth And Sports Asks All Parties Not To Be Disappointed, Calls The 2023 SEA Games No Less Big Than The U-20 World Cup

JAKARTA - The Acting Minister of Youth and Sports, Muhadjir Effendy, was also disappointed with FIFA's decision to cross out Indonesia from the status of the host of the 2023 U-20 World Cup. Even so, Muhadjir advised all parties not to be immersed in sadness for a long time.

"Of course everything is in effect and we must immediately forget all sadness and disappointment," said Muhadjir Effendy at the Kemenpora Office, Senayan on Thursday, March 30 afternoon WIB.

This was stated by the Acting Minister of Youth and Sports because he realized that in front of his eyes there were still many football events that would be undertaken by the Indonesian national team. Therefore, sadness must be put aside in order to make maximum preparations.

"We have to look forward to it, especially in the world of football for us to fix. Especially we also already have very standard rules, namely DBON and also we must immediately prepare events that are no less big, namely in the SEA Games," he continued.

Previously, it was known that FIFA officially revoked Indonesia's status as the host of the 2023 U-20 World Cup on Wednesday, March 29 evening through an official statement.

The cancellation refers to the circumstances that have occurred in Indonesia in recent weeks. There has been a wave of rejections related to Israel's participation from several parties in the 2023 U-20 World Cup.

"That then became one of the factors why this U-20 World Cup match event could not be continued in Indonesia," he said.

"We forget all of them and we immediately unite again to build national sports, especially our football in the future," said Muhadjir Effendy.

With Indonesia removing it from the host status of the 2023 U-20 World Cup, it made Garuda Muda appear in the 2023 U-20 World Cup. Because there is a possibility that FIFA will impose sanctions that make Indonesia banned.
