7 Manchester United Players Who May Be Released On The Summer Transfer Market

JAKARTA - Manchester United (MU) manager, Erik ten Hag, must make a big decision at the end of the season. One of them is to release a number of players whose performance is not included in the team's plan.

The Red Devils are currently in the process of rebuilding the club's glory. The first step was already sweet by winning the English League Cup trophy.

There are still two trophies targeted, namely the FA Cup and Europa League. If it fails, the mission to win more trophies will continue next season.

For this reason, the team management will bring in new players who feel they can strengthen the team. Of course, this must be accompanied by several players who must be released in order to give way to new stars in the team.

There is already a list of players who may be released next summer. Here are seven players that Ten Hag may be able to remove, as reported by The Sun:

Antoni Martial

The French striker enjoyed a bit of revival under Ten Hag, but nothing was close to the success of Marcus Rashford. A series of injuries that smothered Martial could be eliminated.

The contract agreement, which will expire in 2024, also has a great opportunity for MU to cash out the player.

Scott McTominay

The midfielder doesn't have much time to play under Ten Hag's rule. The manager prefers players like Fred, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro and Marcel Sabitzer in the team's midfield.

With the marginalized McTominay situation, Newcastle United are reportedly ready to bring it and promise more playing time.

Wout Weghorst

The Dutch striker joined Man United on loan from Burnley in January to replace Ronaldo, but has so far failed.

Weghorst is not the right person to spearhead United's attack.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Teh Hag prefers Diogo Dalot to fill right-back rather than Aaron Wan-Bissaka. His contract, which expires next year, strengthens the news that he could be kicked out.

Former club, Crystal Palace is considered ready to accommodate again if they leave MU.

David De Gea

The Spanish goalkeeper actually still has tremendous confidence with Manchester United. But De Gea's contract, which expires in June, could only be extended if he agreed to a lower salary.

Harry Maguire

Despite still holding the status of captain of the team, Maguire has lost his position after losing to Raphael Varane and Leandro Martinez.

His position is even often replaced by Ten Hag to fill Luke Shaw. The England international has run out of time and seems ready to come out in the midst of interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.

Marcel Sabitzer

The Austrian player joined the Red Devils as a loan player from Bayern Munich to replace injured Christian Eriksen in midfield.

But next season it looks like Eriksen can return to his original position. The reason is, Sabitzer has not been able to convince Ten Hag.
