JAKARTA The issue of Indonesia's status as the host of the 2023 U-20 World Cup is heating up. The International Football Federation (FIFA) is reported to have appointed Peru as the host of the U-20 World Cup to replace Indonesia.

The rejection of the Israeli team made FIFA have postponed the draw for the group phase which was originally scheduled to be held in Bali on March 31, 2023. This makes the fate of Indonesia as the host unclear.

In a podcast, football observer Puasas Oktavianus claims, FIFA has actually transferred the host of the U-20 World Cup to Peru.
