Elkan Baggot Duet With Jordi Amat In The Match Against Burundi? Shin Tae-yong: Curious, But Unable Conditions

JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong revealed the opportunity for Jordi Amat and Elkan Baggot to have a duet on FIFA Matchday against Burundi, Saturday, March 25. The coach admitted that he was curious about the appearance of the two, but that has not yet been realized.

Elkan Baggot and Jordi Amat are included in the list of players participating in the training camp (TC) ahead of Burundi's opponents on March 25 and 28. Both are expected to have a duet for the first time on the back lines of the Garuda Squad.

"Indeed, tomorrow's match (FIFA Matchday) is the first time Elkan Baggot and Jordi Amat will be a duet. This will be their first duet," Shin Tae-yong admitted during a press conference ahead of the match against Burundi at the Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta on Friday, March 24 afternoon WIB.

Although the duo Elkan Baggot and Jordi Amat will be something to look forward to, Shin Tae-yong hints that Baggott will not be played yet. This reflects on the condition of the Cheltenham Town player who is not yet fully ready.

"Honestly, Elkan's condition (Baggot) is currently not 100 percent, maybe it's better to be 100 percent (first) so that it can be a duet with Jordi (Amat)," said the South Korean coach.

"Currently, Elkan's condition is only 70 to 80 percent, so it's actually very unfortunate," he continued.

Baggott's condition is related to the background of arrivals and a note of the defender's playing minutes.

Shin himself is also waiting for the duet between Baggot and Amat. Moreover, the second meeting took place for the first time in an official match.

"I'm honest, I'm also curious because it's my first time seeing Jordi Amat and Elkan in an official match playing together," he said.
