JAKARTA - The hope to see the Indonesian women's singles again triumphed after the last 16 match of the Swiss Open 2023. The two singles of the Red and White women, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani, compactly qualified for the quarter-fina round.

Gregoria confirmed the ticket for the last 16 after competing fiercely against Canadian representative Michelle Li in St. Jakobshalle, Basel, Switzerland, Friday morning WIB, with a score of 17-21, 21-16, 21-16.

Previously, Putri KW also managed to qualify. He made a surprise by defeating the fourth seed from India P. V. Sindhu with a score of 21-15, 12-21, 21-18.

Furthermore, he will meet sixth seed from Thailand Pornpawee Chochuwong who won over Malaysian badminton player Goh Jin Wei who withdrew when the score was 13-4 for Chochuwong.
