Three New U-20 Players' Naturalization Approved By DPR, Shin Tae-Yong Criticized The Slow Process

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, commented on the ongoing naturalization process for his three-player candidates in the U-20 team. The process involving Rafael Struick, Ivar Jenner, and Justin Hubner admitted that Shin Tae-yong was slow.

This statement was conveyed by Shin Tae-yong because it is directly proportional to the current situation. As a result of the slow process, Justin Hubner now chooses to undergo training with the Dutch U-20 national team.

"There could be problems like this (Hubner trained with the Dutch) because the naturalization process was not fast," Shin Tae-yong said on the sidelines of leading the joint training of the senior team and U-20 at the PTIK Stadium, Monday, March 20 afternoon WIB.

Although the naturalization process is slow, Shin Tae-yong believes Hubner is still committed to remaining an Indonesian citizen (WNI). He also believes that Hubner will soon arrive in Indonesia.

"However, I called him directly (Hubner) two days ago, and he still intends to become an Indonesian citizen," said Shin.

"So even though he was called the Netherlands, it doesn't matter, what matters is that he continues the naturalization process and I believe he will come to the Indonesian national team soon," said Shin Tae-yong.

Regarding the naturalization of these three names, the Technical Director (PSSI) Indra Sjafri emphasized that the process was still ongoing. After the transfer of citizenship is complete, the federation will immediately process the transfer of the Hubner association.

"What is clear is that PSSI processes citizenship transfer (Hubner), after it is finished, we will process the transfer of federations," said Indra Sjafri on a different occasion.

On the same day, the naturalization of the three U-20 players finally received the blessing of Commission III and X of the DPR RI. This approval was conveyed during a Hearing Meeting (RDP).

Unfortunately, in this meeting, not all players were present virtually. In a meeting with Commission X, only Ivar and Rafael were present.

While in a meeting with Commission III, only Ivar took part virtually. Whether it's Rafael Struick and Justin Hubner, it's known that they are absent because they have to train.
