Last Year Borong 60 Trophy, This Team Targets The General Champion Status At ISOM 2023

JAKARTA The SAVAcer Motorsport racing team is targeting to leave as the overall champion at the Indonesia Sentul Series of Motorsport (ISSOM) 2023. The first series of events will begin this month.

This team previously became the overall champion in last year's BMWCCI Motorsport (BMS). The campaign is one of the BMW Club Indonesia and ISOM 2022 programs.

At that time SAVAcer named BMWCCI Jakarta Chapter Racing Team (JCRT) Sixth Garage.

"However, we will continue to work hard so that the target is the overall champion at ISOM 2023," said Team Director of SAVAcer Motorsport Damartias Julianto.

At ISOM last year, JCRT Sixth Garage successfully brought home 60 trophies from the 50 riders they sent. This achievement is considered extraordinary because at that time this team was still new.

This team was founded in 2017, but until 2021 it is still running not so seriously. The seriousness of managing this team was then carried out when welcoming the 2022 season.

This minimal experience made JCRT also have to face many obstacles last season, including financial matters and adaptations that had to be done by their new racers.

"Last year our administration or finances were quite difficult because we are a new team. We still need quite a lot of support. Last year we were still working together, each team or driver was looking for a source together," said Damar.

The achievement last season made SAVASer Motorsport even more optimistic about this year's racing event. Especially now that they have received support from many parties.

This support is even more complete with a team filled with outstanding racers such as Hendra Kamdani, Lucky Dzulkifli Aziz, Helmiansyah Irawan, and Reza Rekayasa.

"Lucky is the rider with the most trophies. Last year he brought 21 trophies and won overall champion at BMS 2022 and runner-up at the ETCC (Euro Touring Car Competition). The target is this year all the overall champions at BMS or at ETCC," said Damar.

Meanwhile, three other riders who also just came down last year can get a total of 36 trophies. The details Hendra brought home 12 trophies, Reza Rekayasa bagged 11 trophies, and Helmiansyah Irawan managed to win 13 trophies.

However, Damar said it was not easy for his party to look at this year's racing season. Moreover, ISOM is followed by many senior racers with experience, who also often excel.

"We have prepared more than 90 percent, almost towards perfection. But we will try to see in the first series. As for later in 2023 there will be many of our opponent's competitors who are quite tough and quite senior too," he said.
