First WAGs In England Suzi Walker Ever Spended Money Such As Toilet Tissue, Now Has A Debt Of Rp9.1 Billion

JAKARTA Wives and friends (WAGs) aka the wife of a footballer is always known to be close to a glamorous life. Money for them is something they can easily get and be wasted.

Former model, Suzi Walker, who claims to be the first WAGs in England, has experienced life with all that convenience.

He has at least enjoyed a luxurious life of drinking champagne, wearing a dress from Gucci's famous brand, and spending the nights of exposure with David Beckham's wife, Victoria.

However, there is an adage that says life is like a wheel, sometimes above and sometimes below. This is how Suzi felt at a low point in her life.

In an interview with The Sun last weekend, Suzi admitted that she and the wife of a fellow British player had wasted money such as depleting toilet tissue.

It was this foya-foya habit that made former Tottenham Hotspurs goalkeeper Ian Walker and the 52-year-old former Crystal Palace boss Simon Jordan feel the consequences in the future.

He was even in debt worth 500 thousand pounds (Rp9.1 billion). Therefore, he was forced to pawn all his favorite jewelry to pay off these debts.

"It ends with a debt of about half a million and not having the money I've ever had has changed me as a human being," he said.

The debts began strangling Suzi when she was caught in a case that dragged her to court and forced her to spend a lot of money. The debt also increased when she faced chronic health problems.

"I now know more than ever about what's important in life. I pawned it and sold everything I had just to move on with my life," said Suzi.

Suzi, who married businessman Mark Pitman in 2018, further said the items she pawned included Mark's engagement ring. He separated these items at a low price from the supposed price.

"That's what broke my heart and some diamond earrings and rings that were gifts from him. I also pawned the diamond tennis bracelet for thousands of dollars that Simon gave me," he said.

"The items were sold at a ridiculous price of several thousand, but the value was much more expensive," he added.
