LaNyalla Types Messages To The New Chairman Of PSSI: Don't Involve A Mafia

JAKARTA - LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti left a message for Erick Thohir after it was confirmed that he lost the PSSI general chairman election for the 2023-2027 period. Erick officially became the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) after winning 42 votes over LaNyalla in the extraordinary congress (KLB) at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, February 16.

"Erick Thohir won. Get a mandate from Allah to run PSSI. I have said this is fate. So, this is the best for me," he told the media crew when he was about to leave the congress location.

Erick is confirmed to be the chairman of the national football parent after successfully pocketing 64 votes out of 86 votes. Meanwhile, La Nyalla only won 22 votes. Meanwhile, the other two candidates Doni Setiabudi and Arif Putra Wicaksono did not vote.

A total of 86 votes consists of 34 provincial associations (asprov), 18 League 1 clubs, 15 League 2 clubs, 16 League 3 clubs, and futsal federations, coach associations, and women's football associations.

LaNyalla mengatakan bahwa dirinya lapangan dada menerima kekalahan ini. Selain itu, ia pun berharap agar Erick tidak melibatkan pengurus-pengurus lama yang selama ini menjadi mafia dalam tubuh ibu sepak nasional itu.

"So, I hope that Mas Erick will be supported by a new board. We know who the mafias are on the old executive committee. Hopefully, don't be elected again. If indeed we support Erick. If it is involved again, I am sure, the KLB will not be back soon," he said.

"I have a lot of messages with him. I just ask the old management that we know the mafias should not be involved. Because later, what will happen is that our football is regulated by the mafia in PSSI's body," he added.

In carrying out his duties later, Erick will be assisted by two deputy chairmen and 12 members. The position of Deputy Chairman of PSSI has become the property of Menpora Zainudin Amali and Yunus Nusi.
