Forwarding The Consumption Of The Chairman's Chair, Doni Setiabudi: PSSI Is The Root Of The Indonesian Football Problem

JAKARTA - Doni Setiabudi ran as one of the candidates for the PSSI General Chair (Ketum) for the 2023-2027 period. Interestingly, Doni said that the dilapidated football in Indonesia started from the federation.

"PSSI is the root cause of the Indonesian football problem," he said when delivering a statement on the National Football Caucus event to Build Nyali to Build PSSI which took place at Spark Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, February 13, 2023.

"I am a practitioner on the field, both early and senior. So after I learned, once again I said the root cause of Indonesian football is the federation," he continued.

On the same occasion, Doni emphasized that the main goal of advancing in the nomination of the PSSI Ketum was to create a clean and transparent federation.

Regarding the purpose, Doni again poked fun about the ranks within the federation. He asked the Executive Commission (Exco) in the old management and is still bound by the club to resign.

"To present a clear and clean federation, if there is an Exco from the club, I ask you to resign. Therefore, it will be a burden for the Ketum, there will be many interests there," he explained.

"Once again I hope that Exco in the next edition will be filled with qualified people, capacity and credibility and willing to work for Indonesian football," said Doni, his hope for a better PSSI.

Doni Setiabudi is one of the candidates for the PSSI Ketum for the 2023/2027 period. He will compete with four other candidates, namely, Erick Thohir, La Nyalla Mattalitti, Arif Putra Wicaksono and Fari Djemi Francis.
