The Draw For The 2023 U20 World Cup Will Be Held In Bali, March 31

"The draw for the U20 World Cup group is scheduled to take place at Taman Werdhi Budaya Art Center, Denpasar, Bali, on March 31," said Head of Youth and Sports Division of the Bali Education, Youth and Sports Office Dana Tenaya while reading the remarks of Bali Governor I Wayan Koster at FGD refinement Presidential Instruction No. 3 of 2019 in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali, Friday (10/2) night.

"We know that in 2023 Indonesia will host international sports, namely the FIFA U20 World Cup Indonesia 2023, and the Province of Bali as one of the host cities from the event. In addition, Bali was also appointed as the official drawing location for the 2023 FIFA World Cup Indonesia U20, namely at the Art Center Cultural Park, Denpasar," he said reading the remarks.

The Governor of Bali also expressed his gratitude for the trust of the government and FIFA in trusting Bali as one of the locations for organizing the U20 World Cup because it can help increase tourist visits on the Island of the Gods and invite all parties to support the organization of the competition.

"On behalf of the Bali Provincial Government, I express my gratitude for this trust and we should jointly support it because it will have an impact on tourism and tourism in Bali in general," said the Governor of Bali.

Meanwhile, Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali after the event believed that Bali could treat guests, namely the national paraofficiality of participating countries, players, coaches, and other parties well.

"I am sure because Bali is used to accepting guests, tourists from various countries come," said Zainudin Amali.

He again reminded that preparations for the U20 World Cup are not limited to the infrastructure but also the community.

"Don't let them come disappointed because our treatment is not good, the service is not good," said the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports.

Bali together with other areas such as Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Central Java, and South Sumatra, were designated as the location for the U20 World Cup on May 20, June 11, 2023.

In Bali, Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium in Gianyar will be the location of the match, while several other fields, namely Ngurah Rai Stadium, Gelora Samudera Kuta, Gelora Tri Sakti Legian Field, and Kompyang Sujana Square Denpasar will be the training ground.

There are at least 24 countries that will compete for the U20 World Cup title this year, but so far only 12 countries have been confirmed to compete, namely Indonesia as the host, the Dominican Republic (CONCACAF), Guatemala (CONCACAF), Honduras (CONCACAF), the United States (CONCACAF), the UK (UEFA), France (UEFA), Israel (UEFA), Italy (UEFA), Slovakia (UEFA), Fiji (OFC), and New Zealand (OFC).
