JAKARTA - The performance of the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong (STY) has been evaluated by PSSI. As a result, the South Korean coach was asked to work better for the maximum performance of the Garuda Squad throughout 2023.

"PSSI asks coach Shin Tae-yong to work better in the upcoming competition, considering that the national team will face important competitions throughout the year," said PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi from the official website quoted Wednesday, February 1.

Yunus Nusi also said that Shin Tae-yong must focus on the closest agenda involving Tmnas U-19, namely the Asian Cup and the World Cup.

"Especially not only the senior squad, but also the U-19 team which this year will face the Asian Cup and the U-20 World Cup," he added.

Many think the coach's performance is actually good. The Garuda Squad has not been able to become champions, it is considered by a number of parties because of existing human resources.

"Because whoever the coach is, whatever caliber he is, as long as the sources we have are not qualified, it will be difficult to raise performance," said Kesit when contacted by VOI, early January, after the failure of the national team to win the AFF Cup.

Of course, in order to create good human resources, several factors are needed. One of them is a competition that is also going well.
