Shin Tae-yong Calls 30 Players For The 2023 U-20 Asian Cup TC, Check List Here

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, summoned 30 players to participate in the 2023 AFC U-20 Cup (TC) training camp. There are a number of new faces this time.

They are Brandon Scheunemann (PSIS Semarang), Hugo Samir (Persis Solo) and Ahmad Raia (Persik Kediri). Meanwhile, two names were withdrawn from the U-16 national team, namely Arkhan Kaka (Persis) and Sulthan Zaky (PSM Makassar).

This TC is planned to be in Jakarta from February 1 to 28. Meanwhile, the U-20 Asian Cup will start on March 1.

"During the training camp, PSSI has prepared a number of test matches for the Indonesian U-20 team," said Technical Director Indra Sjafri, on the official PSSI website.

"Moreover, we know that the opponents in Group A of the U-20 AFC Cup are quality countries," he continued.

Please note, Indonesia is in Group A with hosts, Iraq and Syria at the U-20 AFC Cup held in Uzbekistan.

In the inaugural match, Indonesia will face Iraq on March 1, then duel with Syria on March 4, and challenge host Uzbekistan on March 7.
