JAKARTA - The results of the second leg of the 2022 AFF Cup semifinals will be a valuable wait for Park Hang-seo for his career in the Vietnam national team. This could be the end of the Korean coach's career with The Golden Star.

But if Vietnam manages to win, Park will have at least two more games to lead Vietnam. He also has the opportunity to end his career in Vietnam with a title.

When the press conference was ahead of the match, Park had confirmed that he was ready to look at the match later. Whatever the result will be received calmly.

"This is an important game. My contract will expire at the end of this tournament. If I lose tomorrow, it will be my last game with Vietnam, otherwise I will have two more games," Park said, quoted by Viet Nam News on Monday, January 9.

"We will have a very good match so no one regrets it later," he said confidently.

Park Hang-seo himself has coached Vietnam since 2017. During his tenure, he successfully won the AFF Cup in 2018.

In addition, Park is also trusted to coach Vietnam U-23. In that age phase, he also managed to donate two 2019 and 2021 SEA Games gold medals and became runner-up for the U-23 Asian Cup.
