Goalprints To Everton's Gawang, Brighton's Players Under Record Michael Owen

JAKARTA - Brighton & Hove Albion player, Evan Ferguson, managed to stick to England legend Michael Owen's slick record. That's after he scored against Everton in Premier's 2022/2023 Premier league.

Evan scored in the 51st minute of the match which took place at Goodison Park Stadium, Wednesday, January 4 in the morning WIB. At that time, Brighton won 4-1 after Koaru Mitoma, Solly March, and Pascal Gross also contributed goals.

The goal, which Evan scored, made him the second youngest assistist and goalscorer in the Premier League after Owen.

Not only was he able to stick to Michael Owen's record, Evan Ferguson's performance in that match also made him listed as a young player who managed to score a goal in a row in the Premier League. This record surpassed Federico Rachuda's achievements in 2009.

"At the age of 18 and 76 days, Evan Ferguson was the youngest player to score in a consecutive Premier League appearance since Federico Bridda in 2009," Opta Joe wrote in another post.

Thanks to the slick performances of the players, including Evan Ferguson, The Seagulls were able to pick up full points at Everton's home. Now Roberto De Zerbi's side have 27 points.

That number of points makes Brighton sit in 8th position in the standings. While Everton, who lost 3 points at home, are still stuck in 16th position with a collection of 15 points.
