Marcelino Ferdinand's Reaction After His Selebration Gets Unexpected Responses From Richarlison

JAKARTA - The celebration of the Indonesian national team player, Marselino Ferdinand, after scoring a goal against the Philippines in the final match of the 2022 AFF Cup group phase, Monday, January 2, caused a stir in cyberspace.

The reason is, Marselino's celebration received an unexpected response from Tottenham Hotspur player Richarlison. He re-shared the celebration video uploaded by PSSI's account via Instagram Story.

In addition, the 25-year-old player also left comments on the PSSI feed. He sent a bird's head emoji which was immediately replied to by thousands of comments from Indonesian national team fans.

The emoji is considered to refer to the celebrations carried out by Marselino.

The celebration is familiarly known as 'The Pigeon Dance'. Richarlison often makes this celebration every time he scores goals either at club level or in the Brazilian national team.

"I was shocked, but I'm also happy," said Marselino, as quoted from Antara, Tuesday, January 3.

The player from Surabaya emphasized that he really likes imitating unique goals from world footballers. According to him, it can be a motivation to be able to score goals on the field.

"The celebration builds, emits a positive aura. Later I will make another celebration if I can find the opponent's goal in the 2022 AFF Cup semifinals," said Marselino.
