Marc Klok Asks Supporters To Be CAREful Of Supporting The National Team In The 2022 AFF Cup: We Learn From The Impact Tragedy

JAKARTA - Indonesian national team player Marc Klok asked for support from supporters when the Garuda squad tried to find the inaugural title in the 2022 AFF Cup.

Indonesia will start the group stage journey against Cambodia at the GBK Stadium on Friday, December 23. Supporters are allowed to come.

"Come here crowded. Help us and support us, but we also need to be careful," said Klok after training at the Bung Karno Stadium, Tuesday, December 20 yesterday.

Previously, the police had granted PSSI's request regarding the permit for spectators to attend two home games against Cambodia and Thailand.

Later, as many as 30 thousand supporters will be allowed to attend the match against Cambodia, while against Thailand on December 29, it will increase to 50 thousand.

Klok said that the presence of spectators at the stadium was clearly very important for Indonesia. However, he reminded that supporters need to learn from the tragedy of Kanjuruhan.

"We all learned from yesterday in Malang, the tragedy of Kanjuruhan. Support us but it must be fair, respectful, and enjoy," said the player belonging to Persib Bandung.

In addition to undergoing two home games, Indonesia will also have two away duels against the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam at the Rizal Memorial Stadium (January 2, 2023) and Kuala Lumpur Stadium (December 26).
