Zion Clark, Footless WINNer Will Debut In MMA

JAKARTA - Zion Clark is ready to make history in MMA. He will make his debut as the first legless wrestler to appear in MMA.

Zion has no legs since birth. This situation was experienced because of causal regression syndrome, a rare disorder that interferes with the development of the lower body.

Considering that his disability status since birth has not stopped Clark from achieving a brilliant career. He was even able to break the Guinness World Record.

He set a record for jumping the highest box with his hands and most diamond push-ups in three minutes.

25-year-old Clark also has another record of the fastest 20-meter run with two hands. In addition to that record list, Clark is also talented in martial arts and appears for Kent State University.

Soon Clark will also prove himself able to cross the line where many people doubt. He will make MMA debut this weekend against Eugene Murray at the Gladiator Challenge event in San Diego.

I'm not amazing because I don't have legs and I'm an athlete. I'm amazing because I have encouragement and I live with the mantra 'No reason' and I push myself forward every day," said Zion Clark of motivations that always push her past the limits of doubt.

"This is the beginning of another professional career for me and I'm here to rip his neck off and present performances for the crowd," he continued, quoted by The Sun on Thursday, December 15.

Despite the doubt of many people, Clark has a great chance of winning over Murray on his MMA debut. Because the opponent was recorded as losing in the last four fights.

Most recently he lost against Tommy Telles last July.

Although he is just starting his MMA debut, Clark already has a dream to join the UFC. He is even determined to beat his opponent at home, just like he did in wrestling even though his opponent was a normal person.

"It's just like wrestling for me. I'm just grappling with a healthy person, and I beat a healthy person," Clark said.

"Now I'm fighting healthy people, and I'm going to beat healthy people. It's that simple. I'm a fighter," he concluded.
