Don't Have A Club Yet, Cristiano Ronaldo Events At Real Madrid

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo is reported to have returned to Real Madrid. However, not as a new player for Los Blancos.

The Portuguese returned to Real Madrid's training ground in Valdebebas to maintain conditions after not having a club after parting ways with Manchester United.

According to Spanish media Relevo, reported by the Daily Mail, the Portuguese star trained alone at the facility. He wants his condition to stay fit while looking for a new club after his assignment with the Portuguese national team at the 2022 World Cup ends.

The 37-year-old has asked Real Madrid president Florentino Perez for permission to train at Valdebebas for several days.

Ronaldo has been a free agent since he ended his contract with Manchester United last month. The decision was taken after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo confirmed his legacy as one of the greatest football players for nine years at the Santiago Bernabeu. He came to Spain in a deal that broke the world record at that time from MU.

He won two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies with EL Real. While four of the five Ballon d'Or gongs that were awarded to him, were obtained in Madrid uniforms.

It will be very emotional for Ronaldo to return to the club's training ground after a fluctuating period for the Portuguese forward since he moved from Real to Juventus in 2018.

However, he will train away from the Madrid team led by Carlo Ancelotti.

Ronaldo has a good relationship with Perez. Even in 2019, he told Onda Cero that Cristiano Ronaldo had never created a problem at Madrid.

"He has been an example and I will remember him as the best player we have ever recruited. He has always been an example, a professional like a cup of pine trees. I've always had the perfect relationship with him and I've never had personal or money problems," said Perez at the time.

Ronaldo himself seems to be wasting his time after his country is eliminated at the 2022 World Cup. If players usually get a week to relax or recover, Ronaldo instead chooses to return to the field for training.

The search for the new club is most likely a big factor behind it. The reason is, he wants to be in top condition when there is a team interested in recruiting him.

With him turning 38 in February 2023, the list of options for former Juventus players seems limited. Qatari and Saudi Arabia clubs have expressed interest, but the player wants to continue working in Europe.

Ronaldo's search for a new club could be done without the help of his agent Jorge Mendes. It has been reported that Ronald's relationship with the agent is starting to fall apart due to a dispute over the club being his next destination.
