JAKARTA - Manchester United continued their comeback trend away from the Premier League when they beat Sheffield United with a score of 3-2 in Week 13 of the Premier League at Bramall Lane Stadium, Thursday local time (Friday WIB).

As reported by Antara, as in the previous five away matches this season, United's goal was again conceded by the hosts just five minutes after starting football when David McGoldrick brought Sheffield the lead.

The goal came from a blunder by goalkeeper Dean Henderson, when Oliver Burke's pass was cut and the ball fell in front of McGoldrick who only converted from close range.

In the 18th minute, Sheffield should be able to double their lead, but John Fleck, who had the shooting space wide open, instead fired a shot that missed the target.

United started their comeback in the 26th minute when Victor Lindelod's long cross was caught by Marcus Rashford and finished with a powerful shot that tricked keeper Aaron Ramsdale into a 1-1 draw.

Seven minutes later, United took a 2-1 lead over Sheffield when Anthony Martial grabbed the ball from his own shot which Ramdale failed to save.

A minute from half-time, Henderson paid for his mistake by making a resounding save over the dangerous threat from Burke's first-touch shot to meet Ethan Ampadu's through ball.

Six minutes into the second half, United widened their lead when Rashford scored his second from Martial's cross to make it 3-1 over Sheffield.

Mason Greenwood almost added to the visitors' lead, but his shot in the 66th minute was saved by Ramsdale.

Sheffield seemed to be experiencing some resurgent momentum in the final period of the game, when awarded a second goal as Lindelof tried to clear a Fleck corner but his header hit McGoldrick's head and bounced into the visitors' net.

In the second minute of injury time, Sheffield nearly equalized but Lys Mousset's shot was countered by Henderson to seal United's 3-2 win over the hosts when the whistle sounded the game over.

United moved up to sixth in the standings with 23 points thanks to the win, while Sheffield (1) did not move from the caretaker position and their winning record this season has not changed, according to the official Premier League website.

The two teams will play their Week 14 game on Sunday (20/12), when Sheffield travel to Brighton & Hove Albion headquarters and United host Leeds United at Old Trafford.
