JAKARTA - The Portugal national team will face Morocco in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup. Ahead of the match, an unpleasant issue hit Fernando Santos' team.

Rumor has it that Cristiano Ronaldo has threatened to leave the national team. This is a form of disappointment to start as a substitute in the last 16 against Switzerland.

Previously, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) had denied reports Ronaldo had threatened to leave Qatar.

"The FPF clarifies that the Selecao captain Cristiano Ronaldo has never threatened to leave the national team while living in Qatar. Every day Ronaldo builds a unique track record to serve the national and state teams, which deserves respect," the FPF statement said.
